High-Tide Flooding
February 4, 2006

Merry Kogut took these pictures of the flooding that resulted from winter high tides combined with a low-pressure storm system. The North Beach and mainland parking lots were flooded and ferry service had to be suspended due to the ramp being raised to its upper limit. Steve and Kevin had to take the Charlie Wells out in the channel and orbit for a couple of hours to prevent damage to the ramp that would have resulted if the ferry had been tied up.
